Effective date: 3 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to memberships, taster sessions, classes, open gym sessions, personal training, workshops, fight preparation services and other services supplied by Rings Boxing Limited.
By purchasing a membership or service, making a booking or attending Rings Boxing, the member or customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions. Where the participant is under 18, the parent or legal guardian accepting these terms agrees to them on the participant’s behalf and is responsible for payments due.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
1. Key Membership Terms
1.1 Memberships renew each month automatically by Direct Debit unless expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
1.2 Memberships are rolling monthly agreements with no long term minimum commitment. A member may cancel at any time without a cancellation fee.
1.3 To prevent the next monthly payment, Rings Boxing Limited must receive at least seven calendar days’ cancellation notice before the next billing date. Where fewer than seven calendar days remain, one final monthly payment will be due and the membership will end at the conclusion of that final paid billing period.
1.4 The recurring monthly membership fee agreed when a member joins will remain fixed while the same membership remains continuously active, subject to Section 7.
1.5 Memberships are personal to the named member and cannot be transferred, sold or shared.
2. Membership Access and Club Services
2.1 A membership provides access only to the facilities, classes and sessions expressly included in the membership package purchased. It does not include every service offered by Rings Boxing Limited.
2.2 Personal training, sparring workshops, technical workshops, fight preparation packages, retail products and other separately priced services are not included unless expressly stated in the membership description or agreed in writing.
2.3 Members must maintain an active and fully paid membership and comply with these Terms and Conditions, booking rules and reasonable staff instructions to use the club.
2.4 Rings Boxing Limited may reasonably change facilities, equipment, opening hours, timetables or session availability for operational, staffing, maintenance, safety or legal reasons. Where a change is material and ongoing, members will be notified where reasonably practicable.
2.5 Access may be refused where a session is full, the person does not have a valid booking, fees remain outstanding, suitable clothing or footwear is not worn, or admission would create a safety or conduct concern.
2.6 Memberships cannot normally be frozen. Rings Boxing Limited may agree an exception in writing at its reasonable discretion. A member may instead cancel a rolling membership in accordance with Section 8 and rejoin later at the price then available.
3. Health, Induction and General Safety
3.1 Members and customers must complete any required PAR Q, health declaration, consent form or safety documentation accurately before taking part.
3.2 Members and customers must tell Rings Boxing Limited about any relevant health condition, injury, medication or change in circumstances that may affect safe participation.
3.3 Anyone who does not have sufficient experience, confidence or fitness to use the facilities safely must ask a member of staff for an induction or suitable guidance before training.
3.4 Members and customers must train within their ability, use equipment properly and follow all reasonable safety instructions and staff directions.
3.5 Suitable training clothing and clean indoor footwear must be worn. Use of the gym while under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or any substance that may impair safe participation is prohibited.
3.6 Any spill, damage, equipment fault, unsafe behaviour, accident, injury or safety concern must be reported to staff immediately.
3.7 Rings Boxing Limited may refuse, pause or stop any activity where it reasonably considers the activity or participant to be unsafe or unsuitable.
4. Sparring and Contact Work
4.1 Sparring, technical sparring, body sparring, touch sparring, controlled sparring, contact drills and other live contact activities are not included in standard student, adult, junior, cadet, class based, open gym, unlimited, promotional or discounted memberships.
4.2 Contact work may take place only through a separately authorised and supervised session or workshop. Availability is not guaranteed and access may be restricted to members who have been invited and approved by a Rings Boxing coach.
4.3 Suitability may be assessed by reference to ability, control, conduct, experience, fitness, attitude, attendance, listening skills, defensive awareness, emotional control, medical suitability and safety.
4.4 Rings Boxing Limited may refuse, restrict or withdraw contact work where it reasonably considers a participant unsuitable, unsafe, insufficiently experienced, medically unfit, unreliable or not ready for that level of activity.
4.5 Members and customers must not arrange, encourage or participate in unsupervised contact work on the premises.
4.6 Protective equipment must be worn as directed. Participants must complete any required sparring declaration, informed consent or medical documentation before taking part.
4.7 Acknowledging the recognised risks of boxing and contact work does not exclude or restrict any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
5. Open Gym, Standard Memberships and Fight Preparation
5.1 Standard memberships provide general training access only. They are not fight preparation packages unless this is expressly agreed in a separate written agreement with Rings Boxing Limited.
5.2 Open gym is self led facility and equipment access. Unless expressly agreed in writing, it does not include coaching, instruction, pad work, technical assessment, personal training, sparring or contact drills.
5.3 Staff supervising open gym are present for facility supervision, safety monitoring, rule enforcement and emergency response. Their presence does not mean that coaching is included.
5.4 A member must not rely on standard membership or open gym access as sufficient preparation for an amateur contest, white collar event, charity boxing event, unlicensed event, exhibition, sparring day or other combat sports event.
5.5 Anyone intending to use the club for training connected with an external boxing or combat sports event must tell Rings Boxing Limited in advance.
5.6 Fight preparation packages are separate paid services. The agreed duration, price, payment terms, included sessions, open gym access, coaching, reviews and other conditions will be confirmed separately in writing.
5.7 Sparring is not automatically included in a fight preparation package. Any contact work remains subject to coach approval, suitability, safety, availability and the requirements in Section 4.
5.8 Rings Boxing Limited does not guarantee that a participant will become fight ready, be selected, be matched, pass a medical examination or be permitted to compete. Readiness remains a coaching judgement and may change.
5.9 Matchmaking, opponent selection, event rules, licensing, medical checks, event insurance and event safety remain the responsibility of the relevant event organiser unless Rings Boxing Limited expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
5.10 Members and customers must not state or imply that Rings Boxing Limited, its coaches or its facility are preparing, approving or endorsing them for an external event unless Rings Boxing Limited has agreed this in writing.
6. Membership Payments and Direct Debits
6.1 The joining fee, first payment, recurring fee, billing date and included services will be displayed or confirmed when the membership is purchased.
6.2 The member must ensure that sufficient funds are available and that their payment and contact details remain accurate.
6.3 Once a Direct Debit collection has been submitted, Rings Boxing Limited cannot cancel, amend or reverse it through ClubRight or the Direct Debit system.
6.4 Where Rings Boxing Limited agrees that a refund or correction is due, payment will be made by bank transfer, card or another appropriate method.
6.5 This does not affect the payer’s separate rights under the Direct Debit Guarantee, which must be exercised through their bank or building society.
6.6 If a bank refunds an entire Direct Debit when only part of the collection was incorrect, any correctly due membership fee will remain payable. A member must not retain duplicate refunds received from Rings Boxing Limited and their bank for the same payment.
6.7 Cancelling a Direct Debit instruction through a bank does not by itself cancel the membership agreement or remove any payment already due under these Terms and Conditions.
6.8 If Rings Boxing Limited learns that a Direct Debit has been cancelled without receiving separate membership cancellation notice, it may treat the date it became aware as the member’s cancellation notice. The seven calendar day notice rule will still apply, but Rings Boxing Limited will not allow multiple future monthly membership fees to accrue after treating the membership as cancelled.
6.9 If a payment fails or is cancelled, Rings Boxing Limited may suspend access and booking privileges until the correctly due balance has been paid.
7. Fixed Price Guarantee and Other Price Changes
7.1 The recurring monthly membership fee agreed when a member joins will remain fixed while that same membership remains continuously active and payments remain up to date.
7.2 A temporary payment failure that is corrected promptly does not by itself end the Fixed Price Guarantee. The guarantee ends if the membership is cancelled, allowed to lapse or changed to a different membership package.
7.3 If a former member rejoins, or an existing member changes package, the price available at that time will apply.
7.4 Conditional discounts, including referral discounts, are separate from the protected underlying membership fee. If a discount ends because its published eligibility conditions are no longer met, the membership will return to the member’s protected underlying fee.
7.5 Rings Boxing Limited may change the advertised prices of new memberships, Pay As You Train sessions, personal training, workshops, tasters, products and other separately purchased services.
7.6 A new price will apply only to purchases made after the change and will not alter the price of a service or credit already purchased. Any expressly stated expiry date or usage condition attached to an existing credit will continue to apply.
8. Cancelling a Rolling Membership
8.1 A member may cancel at any time by notifying Rings Boxing Limited in person, by email or through the official Rings Boxing business WhatsApp number.
8.2 The request must clearly state the member’s full name and intention to cancel. Notice is effective from the date it is received by Rings Boxing Limited. Rings Boxing Limited will provide written confirmation of the cancellation.
8.3 To prevent the next monthly payment, cancellation notice must be received at least seven calendar days before the next billing date. For example, if payment is due on the 10th, notice must be received no later than the 3rd.
8.4 Where fewer than seven calendar days remain, the next monthly payment will still be due and membership will end at the conclusion of that final paid billing period. The member may continue using the services included in the membership until that date, provided all amounts due have been paid.
8.5 No separate membership cancellation fee is charged.
9. Online Purchases, Cooling Off and Refunds
9.1 Where a statutory cancellation period applies to an online membership or undated service credit, the customer may exercise that right within the period provided by law.
9.2 If the customer asks for membership access or another service to begin during a statutory cancellation period, the customer expressly requests immediate performance. If the customer subsequently cancels during that period, Rings Boxing Limited may retain or charge a proportionate amount for the access and services supplied up to cancellation, where permitted by law.
9.3 Once a service has been fully delivered during the cancellation period, the statutory right to cancel that service may end where the customer expressly requested immediate performance and acknowledged that consequence.
9.4 Classes, open gym sessions, personal training sessions, tasters and workshops booked for a specific date and time are services related to leisure activities. These dated bookings do not normally carry a separate 14 day cancellation right and are instead governed by the booking and cancellation policy in Sections 10 and 11.
9.5 Memberships and services are not transferable and payments are not refundable merely because the member or customer changes their mind, cannot attend or does not use the available service, except where these Terms and Conditions or the law provide otherwise.
9.6 If Rings Boxing Limited cancels a separately paid service and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, the customer will be offered an appropriate refund or account credit.
9.7 Nothing in this section affects statutory rights where a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill or is not supplied as agreed.
10. Booking and Cancellation Policy
10.1 This section applies to bookable classes, open gym sessions, workshops and other booked services unless the specific personal training rules in Section 11 apply.
10.2 Bookings may normally be made up to two weeks in advance and close 90 minutes before the scheduled start time. A person must not attend without a valid confirmed booking.
10.3 A booking cancelled at least 24 hours before its scheduled start time will not incur a late cancellation fee.
10.4 A cancellation made within 24 hours but more than 90 minutes before the scheduled start time will incur a £10 late cancellation fee.
10.5 A cancellation made within 90 minutes of the scheduled start time, or failure to attend without cancellation, will be treated as a no show and will incur a £20 no show fee. The £10 late cancellation fee will not also be charged for the same booking.
10.6 A booking request submitted within 90 minutes of the proposed start time is subject to a £5 late booking fee and depends on capacity, coach availability and staff availability. If the request cannot be accepted, no late booking fee will apply.
10.7 Bookings for the 6:00am and 7:00am open gym sessions close at 9:00pm on the evening before and cannot be accepted after that time.
10.8 Late booking and cancellation requests must be submitted through the official process explained at www.ringsboxing.co.uk/pages/bookings-cancellations.
10.9 Requests sent through another channel will not be treated as processed unless Rings Boxing Limited confirms acceptance in writing.
10.10 Rings Boxing Limited may waive a fee in exceptional circumstances at its reasonable discretion. Any waiver on one occasion does not require Rings Boxing Limited to waive a fee on another occasion.
11. Personal Training Bookings
11.1 This section applies to 1:1 PT, 1:2 PT and PT taster sessions.
11.2 Personal training is a separate paid service and is not included in a standard membership unless expressly stated in writing. It is not automatically fight preparation.
11.3 A PT session cancelled at least 24 hours before its scheduled start time will be returned to the customer’s ClubRight account without charge.
11.4 A PT session cancelled within 24 hours but more than 90 minutes before its scheduled start time will incur the standard £10 late cancellation fee. The PT credit will be returned to the customer’s account.
11.5 A PT cancellation made within 90 minutes of the scheduled start time will be treated as a no show. One PT credit will be forfeited and will not be returned or refunded.
11.6 If a customer does not attend a confirmed PT booking, one PT credit will be forfeited. No additional £20 no show fee will be charged for that booking.
11.7 For a single session or PT taster purchased without a block, forfeiting the credit means that the payment for the booked session will not be refunded.
11.8 A late PT booking request submitted within 90 minutes of the proposed start time is subject to a £5 late booking fee. The booking is not confirmed unless Rings Boxing Limited accepts it and a booking confirmation is issued.
11.9 Both participants in a 1:2 PT session must be registered with ClubRight and agreed in advance. One nominated lead customer will manage the online booking and payment.
11.10 A 1:2 PT session will proceed and the full 1:2 credit will be used if only one participant attends. If neither participant attends, the full 1:2 credit will be forfeited. Fees connected with the booking will be applied to the lead customer’s account unless agreed otherwise in writing.
11.11 Rings Boxing Limited may refuse, pause or stop a PT session where the planned activity is unsafe, unsuitable or outside the agreed scope.
11.12 Rings Boxing Limited may waive a fee or restore a credit in exceptional circumstances at its reasonable discretion.
12. Taster Sessions
12.1 Taster sessions allow a new customer to experience an eligible service before joining or purchasing a regular package. The current price and included service will be displayed when purchased.
12.2 A taster is not an ongoing Pay As You Train option. It may be purchased only once for the relevant membership or service type unless Rings Boxing Limited agrees otherwise in writing.
12.3 A general class or membership taster is not fight preparation, sparring access, personal training or a technical assessment unless expressly described as such.
12.4 A PT taster remains subject to the personal training booking rules in Section 11.
12.5 Rings Boxing Limited may cancel duplicate or unauthorised taster purchases. Any amount retained from a refund will be limited to costs actually incurred and permitted by law.
13. Referral Discounts
13.1 A referral discount is conditional and is separate from the member’s protected underlying membership fee.
13.2 To qualify, a new member must have been introduced by an existing member before joining and must identify the referring member during the initial registration process. A referral cannot normally be added, changed or backdated after the account has been created or membership purchased.
13.3 The referral must arise from a genuine pre existing relationship. Introductions generated at the club, including during tasters, classes, open gym or other on site activities, do not qualify.
13.4 Rings Boxing Limited may reasonably verify whether the published referral conditions are met and may ask for relevant information.
13.5 The discount applies only while both the referring member and referred member remain active and fully paid members.
13.6 If the qualifying conditions stop being met, the discount may be removed and the affected membership will return to its protected underlying membership fee. Notice of the revised collection amount will be provided in accordance with the applicable Direct Debit arrangements.
13.7 If a referral is believed to be invalid or misleading, Rings Boxing Limited will explain the reason and give the affected member a reasonable opportunity to provide correcting information before making a final decision, unless fraud or abuse requires immediate action.
14. Equipment, Footwear and Personal Property
14.1 Weights, bars, dumbbells and other equipment must be returned to the correct storage area after use. Machines must be unloaded and equipment must not be left on the floor or leaned against walls or machines.
14.2 Equipment must be wiped down as required and rubbish placed in the bins provided.
14.3 Blue roll, paper towels, wipes and sanitary products must not be flushed down the toilets. Where misuse causes a blockage, the person responsible may be charged the reasonable cost of professional clearance.
14.4 Outdoor footwear is not permitted in the gym or on the mats. Members and customers must bring clean indoor trainers or boxing boots and change in the designated area.
14.5 A £5 cleaning charge may be applied where a person wears outdoor footwear in the training area. Entry may also be refused until suitable clean footwear is available.
14.6 Bulky clothing must be left in the changing area or lockers. Walkways, entrances, stairs and fire exits must remain clear.
14.7 Personal property should be secured in the lockers provided. Rings Boxing Limited is not responsible for loss, damage or theft unless caused by its negligence.
14.8 A person who causes damage through misuse, negligence or deliberate conduct may be charged the reasonable repair or replacement cost. Rings Boxing Limited will explain the charge and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond before collecting it.
15. Conduct, Suspension and Termination
15.1 Members and customers must treat staff, coaches, contractors, other members and visitors with respect. Abuse, harassment, intimidation, threats, violence, discriminatory conduct, unsafe behaviour and repeated failure to follow reasonable instructions are prohibited.
15.2 Members must not bring a non member into the club without permission or allow another person to use their membership or account.
15.3 Members and customers must not conduct unauthorised coaching, commercial activity, group training, fight preparation, sparring or contact work on the premises.
15.4 The Rings Boxing name, brand, logo, premises, staff images or social media tags must not be used in connection with external events, promotions, fight preparation or commercial activity without written permission.
15.5 Rings Boxing Limited may issue a warning, restrict a booking, suspend access, cancel a membership or refuse renewal where there is a reasonable and evidenced safety, conduct, payment, fraud or serious operational concern.
15.6 Where appropriate, Rings Boxing Limited will explain the concern and give the member an opportunity to respond or correct a minor breach before cancellation. Immediate suspension or termination may occur in cases involving violence, threats, harassment, fraud, unauthorised access, serious safety risks or other serious misconduct.
15.7 Any refund following termination by Rings Boxing Limited will be assessed fairly by reference to services already provided, the reason for termination, any direct loss and the customer’s statutory rights.
16. Liability and Acknowledgement of Risk
16.1 Boxing, fitness training, strength and conditioning, sparring, pad work, open gym use, personal training and physical exercise carry inherent risks, including the risk of injury.
16.2 Members and customers are responsible for training within their ability, using equipment appropriately, following instructions and declaring relevant health information.
16.3 Rings Boxing Limited will not be responsible for an injury to the extent that it was caused by the participant’s failure to follow instructions, misuse of equipment, failure to disclose relevant health information, unsafe conduct or participation in unauthorised contact work.
16.4 Rings Boxing Limited is not responsible for a participant’s readiness, suitability, selection, matching, medical clearance, opponent selection, performance or safety at an external event that Rings Boxing Limited has not organised or expressly agreed to manage.
16.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, breach of statutory duty or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
17. Payment of Additional Fees
17.1 By storing a payment card through ClubRight and accepting these Terms and Conditions, the customer authorises Rings Boxing Limited to attempt collection of fees clearly specified in these terms, including applicable late cancellation, no show, late booking and cleaning fees.
17.2 Damage charges or other variable amounts will not be collected arbitrarily. Rings Boxing Limited will provide an explanation of the amount and a reasonable opportunity to respond before attempting collection, except where immediate action is reasonably required to prevent further loss.
17.3 If collection fails, Rings Boxing Limited may restrict future bookings or suspend access until the correctly due balance has been cleared.
17.4 A customer who believes a fee has been applied incorrectly should contact Rings Boxing Limited promptly so that it can be reviewed.
18. CCTV and Personal Information
18.1 CCTV operates on the premises for safety, security, incident investigation and the protection of members, customers, staff and property.
18.2 Personal information is handled in accordance with the applicable Rings Boxing and ClubRight privacy information. The current ClubRight privacy information is available at ringsboxing.clubright.co.uk/privacy.
19. Complaints and Disputes
19.1 A member or customer who has a concern should contact Rings Boxing Limited in person, by email or through the official Rings Boxing business WhatsApp number, explaining the issue and the outcome requested.
19.2 Rings Boxing Limited will review the available records and respond within a reasonable time.
19.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions prevents a customer from exercising statutory rights, contacting an appropriate consumer protection body or bringing a claim before a court with jurisdiction.
20. Changes to These Terms
20.1 Rings Boxing Limited may make reasonable changes to these Terms and Conditions for operational, safety, service, regulatory or legal reasons.
20.2 Material changes affecting existing members will be communicated in advance where reasonably practicable. A change required urgently for safety or legal compliance may take effect sooner.
20.3 A change to these Terms and Conditions will not override the Fixed Price Guarantee for a continuously active membership.
20.4 Where a change materially disadvantages an existing member, the member may cancel before the change takes effect without a cancellation fee. Amounts properly due for services already supplied remain payable.
21. General Terms
21.1 If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.
21.2 A delay by Rings Boxing Limited in enforcing a term does not waive its right to enforce that term later.
21.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. A consumer may bring proceedings in any court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
21.4 The contracting business is Rings Boxing Limited. Current contact information is published on the Rings Boxing website and ClubRight member area.
